CU- Control Unleashed, book and video by Leslie McDevitt, general approach involves teaching dog (and handler!) to remain relaxed in various situations, and to reframe scary/stressful situations into "games" that are familiar and not stressful.

LAT- Look At That, a game in CU that helps a dog deal with scary or overstimulating situations.

CAT- Constructional Aggression Treatment, approach by Kellie Snider and Jesus Gonzalez Ruiz that uses removal of the scary stimulus as reinforcement for demonstrating appropriate progressively relaxed/friendly behavior. Shaping using negative reinforcement. Requires organized, controlled access to the scary stimulus, so that it can be removed in a timely manner when the dog demonstrates some level of decreased aggression or relaxation, requiring very good observation skills.

BAT- Behavior Adjustment Treatment, approach coined I believe by Grisha Stewart of Ahimsa Dog Training, that incorporates use of lots of positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning to change aggressive behavior.
